Yeoor Trail - Thane

Yeoor is a location in Thane district in Maharashtra, India that lies in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. Leopards stroll in these hills during night. Earlier around 50 leopards used to live but now around 6 occupy. It is a small mountain not of much height but is very wide which stretch long and goes inside deep till it reaches the other side i:e Borivli. One can trek in this route. Also there are small waterfalls inside these hills. Yeoor comprise of small villages namely, Patvanapada, Vanitapada, Narlepada, Bendipada, Ronchapada.

Information

  • Reporting time: 7:30 am
  • Reporting at: Gate of Tikuji Ni Wadi
  • Cost Include: Breakfast, Expert Charges, Entry Charges and Taxes.
  • Cost Doesn't Include: Travel & Any Personal Expenses

Itinerary

  • 07:30 AM : Reach outside gate of Tiku Ji Ni Wadi.
  • 08:00 AM : Enter Yeoor and have Breakfast.
  • 08:15 AM : Start the trek with Bird & Colorful insect watching, identifying flora and fauna enroute.
  • 10:00 AM : Reach the first pit stop have a short break.
  • 10:30 AM : Games
  • 11:30 AM : Reach the top of the peak and explore the area while indulging in Photography.
  • 12:30 PM : Descend towards yeoor main gate.
  • 2:00 PM : Reached yeoor main gate. Depart for the day. End of the event.

To Bring

What to Bring!

Extra pair of clothes, Towel, sport shoes, floaters, plastic bags for wet cloths, 1 ltr water bottles for each participant including child, chocolates, Sunscreen, peppermint, personal medication if any, shoulder bag for each participant including child (no sling bags). During Monsoon - Windcheaters


What not to Bring!

Chappals, money, expensive jewellery and junk food.


P.S.: Please do carry a small shoulder bag to carry during the trek which will be enough to carry water bottles, cap, handkerchief, plastic bag, extra Floaters/sandals, windcheater, and chocolates. Also advisably each participant should carry it, including children. Do not carry common bag between whole family.
