Wild Trails is a thoughtfully designed outdoor camp near Pune, set amidst a unique landscape of three serene lakes, a man-made forest, a butterfly garden, and an organic farm. With abundant birdlife and an on-site bird rescue centre, the campsite offers children a rare opportunity to explore wilderness in a safe, well-supervised environment. The pleasant climate and open natural spaces create the perfect setting for children to unplug, breathe fresh air, and reconnect with nature.

The camp blends adventure, creativity, and mindful learning through hands-on experiences. Children take part in trekking and adventure activities, organic farming, scarecrow making, woodworking, and learning how to build and maintain a butterfly garden. Yoga and meditation sessions add balance to the active days, while group activities encourage teamwork, confidence, and responsibility. Wild Trails is designed to be joyful, enriching, and age-appropriate—helping children return home refreshed, grounded, and inspired by the outdoors.

Itinerary

Day 1 | Journey, Arrival & Orientation

The group departs from Borivali at 6:00 am by AC bus and reaches the campsite by 10:30 am. After arrival, children freshen up and enjoy lunch.

Post-lunch hours are kept relaxed, with rest time and light indoor activities to help children settle in comfortably.

In the evening (after 4:00 pm), children head outdoors for a guided walk around the campsite and easy nature exploration, followed by ice-breaker games. The day concludes with dinner and a calm campfire session with storytelling.


Day 2 | Outdoor Adventure & Creative Learning

The day begins with outdoor activities between 7:00 am and 11:00 am, including morning yoga, nature trails, trekking around the lakes, and forest exploration.

After lunch, the afternoon is reserved for rest, quiet time, and indoor activities such as crafts, discussions, and board games.

As the weather cools, outdoor sessions resume after 4:00 pm, featuring age-appropriate adventure activities and team games. Dinner and campfire reflections follow.


Day 3 | Wilderness Exploration & Reflection

Morning hours (7:00 am to 11:00 am) are spent outdoors with birdwatching, interaction at the bird rescue centre, lake-side exploration, and outdoor challenges.

Following lunch, children have rest time and indoor workshops, including woodworking, creative projects, and reflection activities.

In the evening (post 4:00 pm), children participate in group games, a relaxed nature walk, and a closing campfire to celebrate shared experiences.


Day 4 | Closing & Return Journey

The final morning includes light outdoor activities during the cool hours, followed by breakfast and a short closing session.

After lunch and a brief rest period, the group departs the campsite at 2:30 pm by AC bus and reaches Mumbai by approximately 8:00 pm, concluding the Wild Trails camp experience.

This is a sample itinerary. Kshitij reserves the right to cancel or alter any aspect of our program as a result of unforeseen circumstances, including weather, environment or health hazards. To the best of our ability, substitution of activities will be comparable to, or better than the original activity.

Sport Shoes, 1 ltr Water Bottles for each participant including child, Chocolates, Sunscreen, Peppermint, Personal Medication if any, shoulder bag for each participant including child (no sling bags).


What not to Bring!

Chappals, Money, Expensive Jewellery and Junk Food.


P.S.: Please do carry a small shoulder bag to carry during the trek which will be enough to carry water bottles, cap, handkerchief, plastic bag and chocolates. Also advisably each participant should carry it, including children. Do not carry common bag between whole family.

FAQ

1. How do you manage heat and weather conditions at the camp?

Children’s comfort and safety are a priority at Wild Trails. The daily schedule is planned so that outdoor activities take place only during cooler hours—early mornings and evenings. Afternoons, when temperatures are higher, are reserved for indoor activities, rest, and quiet time. The campsite is surrounded by lakes, dense greenery, and open natural spaces, which helps maintain significantly lower temperatures compared to the city. Regular hydration breaks are ensured throughout the day.


2. Is the camp safe for children?

Yes. Safety is a top priority. Activities are facilitated by trained staff, safety briefings are conducted regularly, and all adventure activities are supervised by qualified instructors. The campsite is secure and child-friendly.


3. What about food and hygiene?

Nutritious, freshly prepared vegetarian meals are provided at the campsite. Clean drinking water and hygienic washroom facilities are available, and children are encouraged to maintain personal hygiene routines.


4. Will children have access to mobile phones?

This is a screen-free camp. Mobile phones are not permitted with children. Parents can contact the camp coordinator in case of emergencies.


5. How do parents receive updates during the camp?

Parents will receive periodic updates and photos via an official WhatsApp group or designated communication channel.


6. What happens in case of medical emergencies?

Basic first aid is available at camp, and facilitators are trained to handle minor medical situations. In case of an emergency, parents will be informed immediately and appropriate medical care will be arranged.


7. Is this camp suitable for first-time campers?

Absolutely. Wild Trails is designed to be gentle, nurturing, and confidence-building, making it ideal for first-time campers.


8. Can the itinerary change?

Yes. While the program is planned carefully, minor changes may occur due to weather or safety considerations. Any changes will be made in the best interest of the children.
