Water Venture - Karwar

Along the banks of the mystical river Kali in Karwar, along the Goa- Karnataka coastline, this campus is located in a very rare ecosystem that includes mangroves and hundreds of species of plants , birds and animals. This campus offers exquisite bird watching and butterfly watching experiences along with our program highlight - Canoeing and Kayaking. This program is a perfect fit for participants looking at skill building in water sports, interspersed with a slice of adventure and exploration.

Camp Objective: The program aims at entry level training for canoeing and kayaking. This also offers opportunities to learn advanced rock craft and wilderness and survival skills.

Itinerary

Day 0

  • Participants Traveling by Train will depart day prior.

Gather and meet Team KSHITIJ at Mumbai Central at 10:15 pm. Depart by Duronto Exp (22209) at 11:15 pm. (Train ticket charges are not included in package. Kshitij will charge it on actual and will try to book ticket in the same or nearby coach. Kshitij faculties will be traveling with participants in the same train.)


Day 1

Depart from Mumbai in the evening by flight. Transfer to the campus by a NON AC Bus. This will be followed by tent allotment and settling in and Dinner. After Orientation and general instructions on camp safety, lights out


Day 2

Post breakfast, group introduction and group bonding exercises. Explore the campus and participate in Full Value Contract. Post Lunch, participate in zip line. Rest will be followed by Hi tea and briefing for swimming with life jackets on the river beachfront.

Cleanup and changing, followed by bonfire (6:30 PM) . Day review, dinner followed by early nights out.


Day 3

Early wake up, post breakfast, prep for paddling,practical instructions on paddling and navigation of canoes and kayaks, followed by Expedition on River Kali in canoes and kayaks. Return to the campsite for lunch (1:00 PM), rest in the afternoon. Gear up for tent pitching followed by Tea. Spend the evening playing cooperative games, getting to know your campmates better, solo time. Campfire followed by Early Dinner and lights out.


Day

Wake up, post breakfast, trek into nearby rain-forest to a rock formation,briefing for rock climbing and rappelling followed by activities, Then Rock climb and Rappel, Return to the campsite for lunch, post rest, we clean up, spend time in reflection, walk around the campus, early dinner and lights out.


Day 5

Wake up, freshen up, post breakfast, • Instructions on procedure and safety while backpacking, trek through the mangrove forest, spend time bird watching, Return to the campsite for Lunch, Post rest experience low rope courses followed by tea, clean up, solo time, Early Dinner.

Depart by AC Volvo Bus from Karwar at 8 pm.

Alternate Option : Take late evening flight from Goa to Mumbai. In which case camp charges will increase marginally. For details contact us


Day 6

Arive Mumbai By Bus. Drop at Sion, Bandra, Andheri and Borivali
