Eco Trek - Bhrigu Lake - Manali

Bhrigu Lake is located at an elevation of around 4,300 metres (14,100 ft) in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located to the east of the Rohtang Pass and is around 14 kilometres from Gulaba village. The lake can be reached by trek from Gulaba village. The lake is named after Maharishi Bhrigu, one of the seven great sages (Saptarshis).

It is the meadows on the Bhrigu Lake trek that are a real treat.

On most high altitude treks in India you’ll stumble upon meadows from a thick forest, usually of oak. The sudden change in views are startling and beautiful. While most of these meadows are a delight to behold, some are more special than others. The ones on the Bhrigu lake trek are among these.

Program Objective: This program focuses on backpacking and trekking, which gives plenty of opportunities to participants to manage themselves in times without luxurious facilities that are easily available otherwise. This aims at bringing them close to nature, explore the backcountry travel and spend time with self. Also hiking at this height needs plenty of stamina and will, so this one is a great tester for setting challenges for oneself !
