Kumaoni Adventure - Mukteshwar

Our Campsite at Mukteshwar is located on the ridge, in a small village called Sargakhet with spectacular views of the kumaon valley all around, amidst apple, mulberry and other fruit trees. At 7290 Ft, Mukteshwar is one of the highest ridges in the middle Himalayas. It is one of the best rock climbing-rappelling sites in Kumaon and offers great opportunities for trekking through the beautiful countryside and witnessing a fast disappearing way of life.

Camp Purpose: A perfect blend of a camp, relaxing holiday, rejuvenating with nature interspersed with adventure sports and a slice of jungle stay. This program is designed to witness a fresh perspective of the village life, experience life in the hills of the north and have fun with friends over a campfire and kumaoni culture!This camp will engage the kids physically, mentally and socially thus giving them opportunity to balance their energies and explore their love for new places, habitat and people!

Highlights

  1. We use equipment, tents and sleeping bags of recommended industry standards.
  2. Participants to Instructor Ratio during program is 4:1. During Journey 8:1.
  3. Basic First Aid is available at the campsite and a doctor is available on call. is available at campsite and one vehicle is station at the campsite 24*7.
  4. Food: Meals will be prepared in Indian style comprising of breakfast, fruits , locally produced flower and fruit juices, lunch, snacks, soup, dinner. Only nutritious vegetarian food is served on the camp.
  5. Instructors: The adventure instructors are certified from mountaineering institutes and are experienced in working with kids in the outdoors. All the team members are trained in BLS (Basic Life Support) and First Aid.
  6. Small group size enabling personal bonding and vigilance.
  7. Practice of Experiential Methodology, thus creating a SAFE Environment for the child to participate and express freely.
  8. NO COMPETITION throughout the camp, ensuring the kids feel welcome, and do not feel pressurized emotionally or socially.
  9. Participants are actively involved in the decision making and day planning during the camp stays, thus enabling them to take charge of their program, and helping them cope with the consequences of their choice.
  10. Completely fun and exploration based camps, whilst giving the participants enough time to bond with fellow participants and enjoy FREE PLAY!

Expensive Jewelry, Ipods, Kindle, Mobile Phones, Electronic Games/ Gadgets, Junk Food, Cold Drinks, Energy Drinks. (If found, these will be confiscated and parents will have to collect them back from Kshitij office)

Itinerary

Day 0 & 1

  • Gather and meet Team KSHITIJ at Mumbai Central at 4:40 pm. Depart by August Kranti Rajdhani Exp at 5:40 pm. (Train ticket charges are not included in the package. Kshitij will charge it as on actual and will try to book tickets in the same or nearest coach. Kshitij faculties will be traveling with participants in the same train.)

Day 2

  • Kayaking in serene lake of sattal. Spelling Allotment in 6th sub point.

Day 3

  • Treasure Hunt, Advance Rock Craft at Chauli ki Jaali, Kumaoni music during campfire.

Day 4 & 5

  • Hike and Splash in the Gehna Waterfall , Tyrolean Traverse, Forest Lunch, Night Trek, Set your own camp in the Dense Forest at the Dhanachuli Jungle, Pitch your own tents, Cook your own meal, Dinner by the campfire.

Day 6

  • Earn Your Lunch, Work in Village Farms and Homes Interaction with Locals , Rest.

Day 7

  • Bird Watching, Archery and Volley Ball match with the instructors. Post lunch drive down to Kathgodam. Departure for Delhi, by Ranikhet Exp. at 8:40 pm by Sleeper Coach. (Carry your own bedding).

Day 8

  • Arrive Delhi early morning and take flight post 11 am from Delhi. Arrive Mumbai Airport. (Flight ticket charges are not included in package. Parents will have to book this on their own. Before flight booking kindly get in touch with Kshitij to confirm the flight number and time. Kshitij Faculty will be traveling with kids in the same flight).
